August 9-11 weekend was the Toronto Waterfront BeerCraft Festival in conjunction with the Pan-Asian Food Festival held at Ontario Place. We had eight Tornado T-3000 foosball tables, one Bonzini B90 foosball table, and two toy foosball tables set up for this event. Players from all over the GTA, as well as Ottawa and Buffalo came down to play and compete in four events.

On Saturday we ran an Open Singles and an Open Doubles event which consisted of a round robin, followed by a single elimination knockout bracket to determine the winner of each. A Pro ranked player from Florida named Tommy Yore was in town and swept both events, winning the Doubles event with Toronto’s Sheldon Yu.

Congrats to all the players that were in attendance, and all the volunteers that helped make the event possible. Many long days and heavy lifting was worthwhile as we were able to show hundreds of Torontonians what foosball is really about!
